This kit features a heavy duty 20mm thread. That’s 25% more steel than a tradition bolt-through timber post gate kits. The large diameter washers ensure that the hinge set won’t pull through the post. This is especially important when you’re using existing holes in an old post. Whether you have big livestock, big gates, or just like the best, this is the gate kit for you.

Do you want more control over the angle of your gate and how far away it sits from your fence post? Our heavy duty hinge set is fully adjustable by using the nuts to move it in or out. The top strap is also fitted with an adjustable keeper plate to keep your gate locked in nice and tight without any unwanted movement.

Adjustable Nylon Gudgeon

A nylon gudgeon allows for a smooth swinging gate, with the risk of unnecessary corrosion and wear. Without the nylon gudgeon, the gate over time wears the galvanised coating of the hinge pin, not only does this allow corrosion to set in, but it also hinders the smoothness of the swing.

The nylon gudgeon is non-tapered except for a slight tapering at the top so you can easily push your gate on. The non-tapered gudgeon has far more hold on the inside of the gate compared to others on the market that only hold at the very bottom of the gudgeon. The nylon gudgeon slides over a strong metal pin, that’s part of the actual hinge.

The nylon gudgeon has also been designed to be taller than most other gudgeons for extra security. The longer length means that it is harder to pull the bottom of the gate off the hinge.

And if you are worried about UV damage, don’t be. The nylon gudgeon goes inside the gate where the sun can’t reach it.
