About Rotech’s Heavy Duty Panel Clips
Our range of zinc plated heavy duty cleats are made of quality steel for a strong and durable panel clip.
You have two types of panel clip shapes to choose from: L shaped clips and C shaped clips. These two options enable you to create a variety of clip combinations for your needs. Just slide a 16mm drop pin through the holes and your panels will be secure.
Each shape has a 40mm wide and 50mm wide options. The 40mm wide clips are a perfect fit for 40mm RHS, without any overhang. The 40mm panel clips can also be used on a 50mm RHS if you want to weld onto the flat rather than the corner of your RHS. The 50mm is perfect if you want a clip to be flush with the sides of your 50mm RHS.
Each panel clip comes with a backing plate, making it easy to weld.
Frequently Asked Questions
HOW MANY CLIPS SHOULD I ATTACH TO MY PANELS?
It all comes down to personal choice.
We recommend you have two sets of clips on each side; on at the top and one at the bottom of the panel. If you choose to do it this way, then you will need four clips per panel.
How To Install A PANEL CLIP
Farmers and manufactures have their own method and combinations when installing cleats onto their yard panels. Here are two methods you can use when installing panel clips.
C-Clip To L-Clip Setup
One set up is to have the L-clip sit in between the C-clip. For example:
- On the right side install two C-clips. Place one 200mm from the top of the panel and one 200mm from the bottom of the panel.
- On the left side install two L-clips. Plan one 250mm from top of the panel and one 250mm from the bottom of the panel.
This setup will result in the left hand side L-clips fitting in the space within the C-clips when two panels are joined together. Just drop a 16mm pin through the three holes of the two clips to secure the two panels.
C-Clip To C-Clip Setup
A premium setup would have two sets of C-clips intersecting each other. For example
- On the right side install two C-clips. Place one 200mm from the top of the panel and one 200mm from the bottom of the panel.
- On the left side install another two C-clips. Plan one 250mm from top of the panel and one 250mm from the bottom of the panel.
This setup will result in the left hand side C-clips fitting in the space within the right C-clips when two panels are joined together. Because one set of C-clips is lower than the other, there is space for two clips to join. Just drop a 16mm pin through the four holes of the two clips to secure the two panels.
This setup is a lot more secure, and will result is less movement between two panels. Less movement results in less noise which means your animals are less likely to be spooked.
