End Assemblies: The Anchors
Every wire in the fence pulls on the end assemblies, so this is where a fencing system earns its keep. Our StayTight end assemblies tension with a socket instead of a shovel and stay adjustable for the life of the fence, with stays to 3.25 metres, the longest on the market among adjustable end assemblies, taking around 200kg of uplift pressure off the post compared with shorter stays. Set one up in under 15 minutes. LokDown Lugs give around eight times more ground anchorage on every StayTight steel kit, and retrofit to existing assemblies that have started to move. The posts that decide fence life are the ones under load. Our hot dipped galvanised strainer posts run 80NB and 100NB, matched to the StayTight and Drive-Tight® kits they anchor. Steel holds its line in ground that rots timber and feeds white ants, and when a grass fire runs the fence line, steel posts are usually still standing where timber has to be cut out and replaced. A driven steel post also outholds a bigger timber post in a backfilled hole.
